The 10 Cs of Love

Relationship Coaching for Singles & Couples

Frequently Asked Questions

Counseling Session Interaction

What is relationship coaching and how is it different from therapy?

Relationship coaching is a forward focused process designed to help you gain clarity, break old patterns, and build healthier relationships, starting with the one you have with yourself. Unlike therapy, coaching does not focus on diagnosing or treating mental health conditions or deeply processing past trauma. Instead, we focus on where you are now, where you want to go, and what is getting in the way. If you are ready to do intentional, reflective work and take meaningful action, coaching may be exactly what you need.

What is the 10 Cs of Love framework?

The 10 Cs of Love is a framework I developed through my own journey of self-discovery and growth. It is built around 10 core pillars, Commitment, Communication, Compassion, Compatibility, Comfort, Compromise, Connection, Chemistry, Community, and Consistency, each explored first in your relationship with yourself and then in your relationships with others. It gives us a shared language and a clear, practical path for our work together. View the 10 Cs of Love HERE.

Do you work with singles, couples, or both?

I work with both. For singles, our work focuses on self-awareness, understanding your patterns, and showing up differently to yourself and in relationships. For couples, we work together to help you grow with intention, both within yourself and as a couple. In both cases, the 10 Cs of Love framework is used as a guide to help you do the work.

Are you a certified coach?

I am currently completing my certification through the Relationship Coaching Institute, one of the leading relationship coaching certification programs. I am actively working with clients as part of my training and have access to experienced coaching mentors through the program who support and guide my development along the way. I am fully committed to providing a professional, supportive, and effective coaching experience. My lived experience, personal growth journey, and dedication to this work are at the heart of everything I do.

What if I am not sure I am ready for coaching?

That feeling is more common than you might think, and honestly, it might mean you are closer to ready than you realize. You do not need to have everything figured out before we connect. You do not need to know exactly what you want to work on or have the perfect words to describe where you are. All you need is a willingness to show up honestly and a sense that something in your life or your relationships could feel different.

Is there a consultation call before we commit to working together?

Yes. Before we begin, I offer a brief introductory call so we can get a sense of whether we are a good fit. Coaching is a personal relationship, and it is important that you feel comfortable, safe, and confident that we are the right match. There is no pressure and no obligation.

What happens after I fill out the intake form?
Once I receive your intake form I will review it carefully before we connect. I want to understand your story, your patterns, and what brings you to coaching before we ever meet. From there I will reach out to schedule your introductory call and we will take it from there together.

Is what I share kept confidential?

Absolutely. Everything you share within our coaching relationship is held in the strictest confidence. The only exceptions would be if there were a serious concern for your safety or the safety of others. You deserve a space where you can be fully honest, and creating that safety is something I take very seriously

Will our sessions be recorded?
I may ask for your permission to record some of our sessions as part of my certification requirements. Recordings are used for my own development as a coach and may be reviewed by the Relationship Coaching Institute as part of the certification process. All recordings are kept completely confidential. If you are not comfortable with recording it will not affect our work together in any way.

How many sessions will I need?

Every person and every relationship is different, so there is no set number. That said, most clients find that a minimum of working together for 90 days (1 session/week for 12 weeks) gives us enough time to do meaningful work together. Some choose to continue beyond that as they deepen their self-awareness and work toward bigger goals. What I can promise is that our work together is always guided by your goals, your pace, and what feels right for you. The best way to get a sense of what you might need is to start with a free discovery call. From there, we can talk through what you are hoping to work on and what a realistic path forward might look like for you.

What can I expect in a session?

We begin with a brief check-in to see how you are feeling and what has been present for you since we last spoke. From there, we move into the heart of our work together, which might look like exploring a specific challenge you are facing, working through one of the 10 Cs in depth, or reviewing your action items from the previous session. We close each session with clarity, and what are you taking away, and what is one thing you will do or practice before we meet again. You will leave with something concrete, not just a good conversation. Sessions are one hour and conducted via phone, virtually, or in person. All you need is a quiet space, an open mind, and a willingness to show up honestly.

What happens between sessions?

Coaching does not just happen in the hour we spend together. Some of the most important work happens in between sessions when you are putting what we discussed into practice. As a client, you will have access to tools I have developed specifically to support your journey between sessions. These include a guided journal with reflective prompts, a goal tracker to keep you focused on what matters most, an action items sheet so you always leave a session knowing exactly what you are working on, and a reflection form to help you check in with yourself and your progress over time. You are not alone between sessions. I am invested in your growth, and you can always reach out if something important comes up.
